Sport Nutrition Support

Training and Competition Nutrition
Helping support and best plan out your nutrition to maximize your training and help you achieve competition success. This includes individual nutrition strategies that work best around an athlete's preferences and food tolerance to support training and competition goals.
Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S)
Optimizing your energy is essential to support not just athletic performance but foundational health.Â
I'm here to help athletes learn about their energy needs for day-to-day life, training and competition, and can provide education and tangible skills that can be used each day to help meet energy demands.

Injury Support
Injury can be crippling to an athletes season and career. I work with athletes and other health care providers to provide nutrition strategies to help support injury prevention, and also assist in the recovery process from soft tissue, bone and head injuries.
Sport Concussions
I have an extensive background around sport concussion recovery and protection. This includes research focused on Omega 3 fatty acids and sub-concussive injuries in elite male and female Canadian Rugby 7s players.

Immunity and Sleep
Providing nutrition strategies to help maintain a strong immune system, help with recovery from illness and assist athletes in maximizing their sleep.
Travel and Environmental Support
Travelling for competition? Training or competing in different environments including hot climates or at altitude? IÂ provide nutrition support to athletes to ensure their nutrition is fined tuned so they are prepared for these situations.

Cooking Skills
To best fuel yourself, learning some tricks in the kitchen is key. IÂ provide in-home or virtual cooking sessions and/or demos to give you quick and easy meal and snack recipes and ideas to support your training.
Supplementation Safety and Efficacy
From iron to creatine, vitamin D to beta alanine, I provide trusted advise on the evidence (or lack there of), safety, efficacy, and use on different supplements that show promise and those that are just a waste of money.
